The accelerator brings together a small cohort chosen from a competitive international field, spanning multiple approaches across the carbon removal ecosystem. Alpine X’s acceptance reflects growing recognition of the role high-altitude environments can play in advancing direct air capture, particularly in regions where atmospheric conditions offer distinct operational advantages.

Through the program, Alpine X will further refine its system design, deployment strategy, and measurement, reporting, and verification framework, ensuring that removals are durable, transparent, and aligned with emerging standards.
