As part of its research and validation program, Alpine X is conducting laboratory testing in collaboration with LOCIE, a leading research laboratory at Université Savoie Mont Blanc specializing in energy systems, building science, and gas sorption processes.

At LOCIE, Alpine X has developed a dedicated test bench to evaluate core elements of its direct air capture process under controlled conditions. The test bench enables precise measurement of adsorption and regeneration behavior, airflow dynamics, and system response across temperature and humidity ranges relevant to alpine environments.

This phase of testing plays a critical role in bridging laboratory research and field deployment. By validating material performance and system integration at bench scale, Alpine X is able to refine operating parameters and identify performance limits before deployment in real-world mountain conditions.

The collaboration with LOCIE and Université Savoie Mont Blanc reflects Alpine X’s commitment to grounding system development in rigorous academic research while maintaining a clear path toward deployment. Insights from the test bench directly inform the design of the Val d’Isère pilot and future high-altitude installations, ensuring that system performance is validated, repeatable, and aligned with real operating conditions.
